 Battle Boattle by Nordo Game Studio is an arcade game where you take command of various sea vessels. It’s a top down view where your boat skids and slides around the water. Leaving one side of the screen makes you appear on the other. You can fire torpedos and other weapons.

ast the dismal graphics then you’re onto a winner. The graphics are as simple as you can get without them being solid lines. It does have a nice ‘water trail’ effect, but that’s your lot. Sound is much the same, limited to zips and thuds, it does the job.
The game is based around various missions where you either destroy, defend or collect things. It has a loosely tied together storyline but is enough to keep you interested.
The game itself is surprisingly fun. The boat skids around the water allowing you to turn at the last minute and avoid the obstacles. I was very impressed with the AI, they actually gang up on you and try and pin you down.
At $17.75 it’s a good price. If you’re looking for some good game play and aren’t fussed about graphics it’s well worth a look.
